Erased Episode 10 Early Access

Yeah, that is what I was thinking as well. Thanks for watching Harry, take care!

I think its slightly disappointing from the perspective of a viewer trying to discover the killer, but it makes sense for Satoru not to see these things given how much hes projected fatherliness onto the killers character and thus discounted him as a suspect.

The funniest thing about this is I'm "disappointed" for a more specific reason. As far as I'm concerned, Erased peaks HARD at episode 8, with the events of the first half of episode 9 being a great denouement. Then the show keeps going for 3.5 more episodes and the first time I watched, I was actually like "right... the serial killer". Stopping the abuse felt so much like the "important thing", and the frank and blunt way that abuse is depicted felt so unique given how much fiction shies away from really showing how dark that shit can get; so when the show turned back to something as comparatively rote and banal as "bad man who likes killing" it felt like a wet fart. And I feel like it would feel that way, even if the mystery didn't unfold in such a linear way. Nothing about the killer is half as interesting as the rest.

Yea now that i look back on this anime it really wasn’t as good as it was when i first saw it. Still a solid anime though

Even as a massive Erased stan I gotta admit the mystery doesn't really work. Should've at least introduced a 3rd major suspect. There's a few red herrings but it follows a pretty straight path. So I understand why people that were watching for that aspect ended up dissapointed. I still love the series though, it's more of Satoru's hero journey than a mystery and for that this episode works well.
