Okay, I'll be starting this show along with you. I've heard great things about it but have never had the time or motivation to start it. The first episode so far looks amazing, the style, cinematics, it really pulls you in.

I hope to react to FMA one day. Thanks for watching, take care!

The composer for it Ryo also composed a lot of well known classic vocaloid songs like Melt and World is Mine, he formed the band Supercell and had Nagi as the vocalist for their 2nd album which this song is part of, they have a different one for the 3rd album again and that one contains some other songs like the OP or ED for Guilty Crown, I forget which. He also composed the ED for Nisemonogatari and Egoist is another one of his projects. Either way the dudes work as a composer is pretty great as well and you should check out the rest of their stuff too.

Man oh man you’re in for a treat no other anime is truly like this it’s definitely a uniquely crafted masterpiece gonna enjoy this ride and hearing your thoughts!

arararagi kun

Huh, seems you are correct. Well time to look up a new singer, because I fking love that ED.

If you're confused by these first few episodes. That's okay. You're not expected to get a grasp of it straight away. Happy you were intrigued though!! Make sure you pay attention to each opening of this anime. Usually it might be instinctual to look away, but in this case they're often quite meaningful additions. Also don't worry about reading all the text that flashes across the screen. I think someone else elaborated on this here in the comments.

Zaj

Only the OP, the ED is sung by Nagi Yanagi.

Stealth Potato

Yeah that is Levi's VA. Also both the opening and ending are sung by Hitagi's VA.

Heard good things about this show but only watched the first few episodes a while ago. Gonna watch it all the way this time, it's so different from anything I watched but seems very interesting, I feel it has a lot of potential.

Oh man I've been waiting for this for so long, the only bad part is not being able to answer any of your questions. But yeah, the show has an incredibly unique visual style that's only comparable to some of Shaft's other work. Then there's the first person perspective and mental narration that you mentioned, with a few exceptions the show is essentially almost always in first person present tense, we usually only know what Araragi can see or hear at any given moment and can only experience his thoughts. Combine those aspects with the great OST and story and you end up with a totally unique experience. Just a note on some of the times words come on screen, when its a short flash in the middle of the episode its typically Araragi's thoughts, but sometimes like in the intro sequence its just direct quotes from the novel, these are particularly abundant just after the OP plays on most episodes. Many reactors try and pause to read those but IMO there's no need, they sometimes provide some nice extra info from the novel but most of the time its just stuff that gets shown in the next few minutes anyways. Glad to see you enjoyed episode 1, and really hoping you keep loving it!
