Baccano! Episode 1 Early Access

Yeah it's definitely a show that should be rewatched, you get a lot more from the show. If you do rewatch later, I recommend the dub. It's one of the best I've seen and because the story takes place in the U.S., it gives some more character to the setting (adds a good bit of old slang) and accents that are mostly good lol

I'll second whoever said that about the dub. It's top notch. One of my favourites of that era.

It's not often a story sets out with a gigantic ensemble cast and skipping around the timeline, and it's even more rare to see a show pull it off absolutely magnificently. Baccano is an extremely ambitious tale that could easily have flopped, but it managed to achieve a greatness that only something that takes such a massive risk could achieve. Take that and add in that supernatural stories in more modern settings like this is one of my personal favourites and my love for skipping around a timeline and it's no surprise that this show is one of my top contenders for the best anime I've ever seen IMO. Gonna be fun to rewatch it, surprisingly I've never actually gotten around to it, checking out the sub is gonna be fun too since I watched the dub on my watch. Speaking of I do recommend checking out the dub at some point after you've finished the series if you've got time, maybe if you ever rewatch the show, it's the best I've ever heard by a massive margin.

I love how totally bonkers this first episode is. Just all over the damn place the whole time. Obviously it's good when a story starts "coming together" but I appreciate how much this episode is like "here's a bunch of stuff you have no context for! Did any of it seem even a little interesting? Yes? Good, continue to episode 2." Baccano rules.
