I agree that hes cowardly; when I say he accepts his fate I just meant hes given up on living because he knew eventually somebody would find and kill him. Ideally he would confess his crimes but like I said hes just a sad pathetic man who cant even do that. I'm definitely not defending him lol, just admiring the writing for not being one dimensional.

If he really accepted his fate he could’ve gone to the authorities reveal his crimes.
He ruined the lives of countless people for decades, has the blood of who knows how many children on his hands.
He’s a coward, he realized what he did was bad, but he doesn’t want to pay the price or stop the people he clearly knows are out there perpetuating his work.
Grimmer is the best for dressing him down and wanting to give him over to the authorities.

I really like the reveal that Bonaparta isn't just some supervillain, but a broken old man who can clearly see how horrible his sins were and who has accepted his fate. Grimmer's speech is also A1 of course
