I always found it kinda weird how some people consider episode 3 a massive unexpected twist and turning point, the show isn't really blatant about it but it's still pretty predictable here with Urobuchi throwing out foreshadowing by the bucketload. That's not a bad thing at all, I just find it odd how it's often described.
