It's really nice to have some real Shinobu stuff after having her around as a character for a while. The whole time since after Kizu they've thrown around the idea of her betraying Araragi and turning back into Kiss Shot and specifically bring it up at the start of the arc with her saying the risk is higher with her being closer to her original power to facilitate the time travel. I feel like one of the real main points of this arc is to disprove that notion totally, as this episode shows us an absolutely full powered Kiss Shot in the worst possible circumstance, and really she still never betrayed Araragi and rather all her actions were due to being upset that he'd died, and had largely come to recognise her stupid choices in that situation. It all brings me back to a line from Araragi to Shinobu in Nise here he calls her out for being a tsundere too, it feels like a joke there but it really rings true here.

2021-12-04 23:01:53 +0000 UTCWonderful ending. When I watched this chapter back in the day I was too young to enjoy this part. I was too much into shonen so I was dissapointed about having no battle. I feel old now, enjoying and understanding all of this. As always, I thank you for your reactions. It's an opportunity to have a new perspective of the series I watched years ago.
