2021-12-16 01:18:21 +0000 UTCI feel like the lines about how nobody is always the same from every perspective or at every moment line up so well with what Nisioisin is trying to do with giving us new POV characters as of the start of Second Season with Hanekawa and Kanbaru. The view of the world has basically not changed at all with these two views in any meaningful sense with things like no people being around despite Kaiki describing the street as crowded still being a thing, but the way every character has been depicted as especially the POV characters themselves has changed. We still see the traces of how Araragi sees them Kanbaru's silly nature and Kaki's Kaiki is there but in Kanbaru's own mind we see a significantly more serious side of her and the stark difference of having seen Kaiki as someone who's done massive harm to Senjougahara and Karen compared to Kanbaru's where she's just heard of this but then experienced what is basically just a slightly awkward uncle is such an interesting way to do characters that I can't say I've seen elsewhere.

2021-12-15 14:03:56 +0000 UTCIt's funny how Kaiki was presented as a villain, but he's not that villanous. Also, Kanbaru's cute noise when Kaiki lifted her was so unexpected to me when I watched the episode.
