2022-04-06 21:35:41 +0000 UTCThe only way to make a good anime game is to to do what CD Project RED did with The Witcher, insted of trying to adapt a book story into videogame format they created a new story with the characters and world of the books that would fit a videogame format. Unfortunately the real reson no good anime game hs never been made is that most companies know that a game will sell just becouse it carries the name DBZ or One Piece or whatever and they dodn't care to put effort and time into it as long as they know they will make good money with minnimal work.

2022-04-06 04:56:31 +0000 UTCif you are talking about like a story based anime video game, I think it's just too difficult to convert a linear narrative into a video game narrative and have it be like MIND BLOWING. games like Ocarina of Time and Chrono Trigger etc. all supplant a bit of your imagination and head canon into the experience which is part of what makes them so special to people, it feels like it's your own journey. But take a story or characters you are already familiar with and slap them in a game and it loses some of that "magic" that other experiences give you. Fighting games however, that's a whole other story. There are some incredible anime fighting games.
