Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 6 Episode 38 Early Access

Comments

I really like that we see Jolyne go through all the development Jotaro had gone through over the years, but in one part. It IS Jolyne's victory, pyrhic one but as Emporio said it was the Joestars' resolve that gave them that one shot. Emporio wouldn't have escaped on his own, he wouldn't have the power to defeat Pucci without weather's stand, but most importantly he would never have the resolve to execute his plan if he never met Jolyne. As for the universe I see it this way: Universe 1 -> Pucci's Acceleration starts and stays active -> Cross over point, dead souls stay where they died -> Universe 2 Notice that Pucci said he only slowed down the acceleration, assuming this is a correct translation, his ability is still in its first activation. Universe 2 -> Pucci dies deactivating his acceleration ability -> Cross over point, dead souls stay where they died -> Universe 1, however as Pucci didn't get carried over it is rewritten so that the events of Part 6 didn't happen, Jotaro thus wasn't an absentee father and Jolyne never had to acquire a stand and lived a normal life, though fate had it the gang would meet one way or another. This way the cross over point is not part of the ability, it's just a natural law keeping dead souls out, explaining why the gang's souls are back and Pucci isn't (and for all we know there could be a fake father Pucci at the prison) It is still a little inconsistent but hey it's JoJo, not hard sci-fi.

I think Emporio's tears are a little of both. Yes, he's sad the friends he knew are technically gone. But I think he at least recognizes that he isn't alone. In some kind of way, he is still with them. Even if they are 'new variations' of them. It's a shocking ending to basically lose everything and everyone, but I think Araki executed it in a believable way. It certainly has a bittersweet beauty to it. Good to be on the ride with you! Let's hope part 7 doesn't take too long to be announced, I have hope!

This part has the most memorable ending to me, I think its great. Pucci was a really great villain. Thanks for the reactions Zen. Now the wait for Part 7! haha

So to explain, the original universe truly is gone now. When Pucchi accelerated time to the new universe Jolyne and the others truly all died, like he said even their souls didn't make it over. However, in order to complete Made in Heaven he needed to reach Cape Canaveral one more time but was stopped by Emporio causing that universe to reset. Now in this third universe, Pucchi never existed thus the events of Stone Ocean never happened but iirc, the earlier parts still did. Irene and all of them may not be the ones Emporio knew but they have the same souls as the originals unlike the 2nd universe where they were replaced completely. This is further emphasized by the faces being exact and the star birthmark. This is an extremely bitter sweet ending as Emporio won, but at what cost? His friends are alive but not the same. This is basically a universe where Jolyne and them are free to live as they choose. In this universe, the Joestar curse is finally and truly broken. It must be a lot to take in for poor Emporio though. TL;DR: Pucchi really was too much for them 💀💀
