Cyberpunk Edgerunners Episode 2 Early Access

Comments

The game runs better than it did at launch, but it is definitely a resource heavy game that will leave your computer running super hot the whole time you're playing. I would agree with Oak that it is generally enjoyable from a gameplay perspective, but the story itself isn't very memorable. I personally don't think the story is very good at all, but the world itself is incredibly well designed. It's a game that I think needed a lot more time in development but was rushed out for whatever reason.

The patches have definitely helped a lot. It got an understandably bad reputation at launch and the bad performance played a huge part. I haven't gotten around to finishing the story yet, but while it's not the pinnacle of storytelling or anything, I remember generally enjoying it and enjoying the world even more. For game fans, when this anime came out it was cool to see so many locations from the game in the anime. If you ever get around to playing it, you might recognize some locations. It's pretty cool that they were so thorough with the locations in the anime. Sorry for the lengthy and a bit unorganized reply, just wanted to share some thoughts and I got carried away. I haven't even started watching your videos on this series yet but I saw this comment and decided to reply first.

Thanks Zabon, did the patches help the performance any?

The anime got me to play the game, but I will say that I think the anime is way better than the game. The game has a lot of jank, runs poorly, and the story is hit and miss. Maybe worth it on a sale, not full price.

Very interesting Keith, I wonder if it something that will become more accessible in the future. I am glad to know it is possible though! Thanks, take care!

So you want to experience Zero-G? Actually, it's not Zero-G but weightlessness. To do that you need to be in free fall (Earth orbits are free-fall as the spaceship falls, but is going sideways so fast that the Earth curves away at the same rate - falling without getting closer to the ground). To achieve the same on Earth, you need to be in a plane flying a parabola - You can book such flights, e.g. here https://www.gozerog.com/
