My Hero Academia Season 4 Episode 6 Early Access

Comments

Steins;Gate is a great example of this. Since it was based on a visual novel, a lot of it ends up taking place in a few locations and it's very dialogue heavy. Highly recommend it if you haven't seen it.

I've been leaning towards that as well. Might be time to just jump in, watch it, and enjoy the ride. Thanks for the response Zero!

I would recommend the anime first personally. I haven’t watched Yu Yu Hakusho yet, but in me reading all of the HxH manga, I would say the anime probably is easier to digest (not to undermine the manga, but I honestly understand things better through animation)!

It's always cool to see an anime (or any show) that's able to make an episode where 90+% of it takes place in one room and 'nothing' is happening but some characters talking to each other, still be interesting and engaging to watch.

Also, I wanted to make a separate comment since this isn't related and to avoid bloating my other comment, but in regards to wanting to read the source material of something before an adaptation, I find it really depends. In the case of manga then anime, I find I will generally watch the anime first, and if I really liked it, then I'll read the manga. Hunter x Hunter being my best example. It's my favorite anime of all time, eventually I decided to read the manga from the start. (The mad man actually came up with 100 normal cards and 40 spell cards all with detailed descriptions for Greed Island by the way). HxH is kinda a unique case though since it continues past the anime a little bit, with no sign of the anime ever picking back up, so even if I didn't read from the start, I'd still want to read the current stuff. I have been wanting to start Yu Yu Hakusho for a while now though, and for the first time yet, I can't decide if I want to watch the anime or read the manga first. Reading HxH made me really appreciate Togashi's work, and I would love to first experience it from the source, but I have also heard great things about the anime and both options sound really appealing. If anyone who has both read and seen Yu Yu Hakusho happens to find this comment, (and read through my short essay) I'd love to have another opinion on this. And Zen, I'm terribly sorry if you've read through both my longer than usual comments today, and because of that I honestly wish you the best week for taking the time to listen to my mad ramblings!

You bringing up Vigilantes plus Aizawa' speech to Deku is reminding me why I love Eraser so much. I love the approach he took with talking to Deku here. He knows Deku well at this point and knows that if he tries to pull him out, he'll act on his own and probably get himself hurt (we all know how good Deku is at hurting himself). So instead of trying to keep him away, he tells him the he'll make sure Deku does it right, which motivates Deku to set his goal toward saving Eri, because he wasn't able to before. Also, as Zero pointed out above, seeing Nighteye recognize that part of Deku that is just a bit crazy, (in regards to his own safety) is a great thing to end the episode on. The past few episodes have done a great job showing how Deku feels when he isn't able to save someone, which gives us insight into why Deku is willing to literally destroy his own body for the sake of others. Lots of setup for the events to come this episode, and I can't wait for the rest of this arc!

Poor sweet Eri. She deserves so much :(( I think Deku’s madness is something that only few recognize, and that includes Nighteye, Allmight himself, and Bakugou. They can all see so clearly how little he cares for his own mind and body, and lives to protect others. Being quirkless wasn’t just preventing Izuku from becoming a hero, it was preventing him from being him. Great episode.
