We had the holy trinity this episode. You managed to mention Earthbound, Final Fantasy, and Metal Gear Solid lol. I remember the first video game I ever played was a Hobbit game from 2003. It was a 3D action-adventure platformer and took you through all the major events of the Hobbit. As a kid, I remember getting stuck all the time during the Mirkwood level because it had a boss fight against 3 of the giant spiders, which was very difficult for child me. I went back last year and played it again and to this day it holds a special place in my heart.
