Deku is such a great main character because he started with nothing, so much so he almost gave up on his dream from the harsh reality of being born quirkless. But even once he was blessed with One For All, he still had to work 5x as hard as everyone else because they had their entire lives to develop their quirks. Now his potential as a hero will only grow from here. This may be one of my favorite superhero works of fiction, just fantastic story telling!

2023-09-03 02:45:12 +0000 UTCAs a personal fun fact I stopped reading the manga literally a few chapters before this reveal feeling exhausted by the pacing of the tournament and didn't come back to MHA for years after when the anime caught up and so this reveal made me feel really dumb hahahaha. The Avatar parallels run deep in MHA! Wonder if Uncle Iroh could mellow out Bakugou.
