Sugar & Spice (Ch. Final) (ETA)

[A lot's been going on over on my end, but the first chapter and this one, the story's conclusion, will be ready in a few days!]

Comments

Well, it has been almost a month since we were told it would "be ready in a few days", and... nothing. Not even a response or a change in the billing model. I think I'll follow Sone's example above and take my leave of this patreon for a while. This is NOT a good creator/supporter relationship.

I assume you don't read any of these comments but if at some point you do I hope you realize that everyone left at this point is literally just asking you to change your billing to monthly. I understand ADHD and creative burnout etc but this would literally take you like 2 minutes to do, would make all of us a lot happier and would provide you with a more reliable source of income.

To echo sentiments above, I'm more than happy to support you and your work, and even more so if we can be straightforward about the terms and the billing model. Whatever benefits you believe per story promises provide, they're not worth it. It's clear you have your good runs of productivity, then you hit a block and well, whatever, life happens. But I've been here a while now and none of these delayed stories, no matter how close to done you say they are, ever actually appear, and you simply power through it without comment. I don't know anything about your situation or your process, but I can't imagine these are decisions you make for the fun of it, because if your main goal was to scam horny weirdos on the internet I can think of several more efficient and lucrative ways to go about that. So I'm left in this situation where it seems like I throw you a few dollars a month so I can read stories (good) except for the months where I just watch you dig yourself into a pit while you sort of pretend you're not digging yourself into a pit (bad). When the engine's firing you write great shit with imagination and verve, but it's hard not to feel like we're stuck in a cycle that does not seem tenable for you, under terms that are not long-term great for letting you do the thing you're good at, and does not build positive feelings in the audience. Hardly news to you, I'm sure, but dude, is there really no other way?

Pete

Like squizzle said, at least change your billing model so you don't have to do this song and dance. I'd be happy donating monthly as thanks for your stories in general, if you were purposeful and honest about it. I told myself I'd drop the patreon next time this happens. Sorry, and good luck.

Sone

For fucks sake, Carol. Just change your fucking billing model already and stop with this scam in slow motion.
