Hello, Ashen Ones. As you know, I'm working on my own game, so I occasionally take breaks from content (like last week). I usually take these breaks when we already have a lot of content planned for the following months. In other words, all the packs and comics for the following months are already finished.
So for those who are curious, here goes.
About the game: It's a 2D horror game that's very different from the Patreon's NSFW content and requires a lot of work. I'm the game's creative director, writer, level designer, and artist. I'm paying for a programmer and three musicians out of my own pocket (using the money I receive from this Patreon).
My job in the game is to create the lore and script. I design all the assets (which are basically all the game elements, benches, posts, trees, items, characters, walls, etc.). I'm also responsible for creating the promotional art, cutscenes, character dialogue, and all the animations for all the monsters. On average, each monster has 110 frames or more, and the protagonist has over 1,000 frames of animation (including animations like running, rolling, etc.).
Additionally, I am responsible for writing item descriptions, in-game text documents such as medical reports, letters, journal pages, and notes, everything that will help tell the story through the collected items. I also participate in meetings to discuss game mechanics, veto some, and approve others. I also periodically test the game and provide feedback on balance, enemy positioning, and items.
We're planning to make a demo first to gather feedback. This demo will feature a playable map and three bosses. So far, we're planning on releasing it in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. Our plan after that is to try crowdfunding to finish the game. It's a lot of work, and since I'm paying for everything myself, it's been very expensive. To compare the dollar to what I spent in Brazilian currency, I think I've already spent around $15,000. In other words, we're working a lot, and it's expensive, lol.
So far, it will only be released on PC, but if we can secure the full amount or find a publisher, we may have a console port. If you'd like to add it to the Steam wishlist, here's the link. This will help us reach more people. https://store.steampowered.com/app/3623870/Adiverboz/
So if I "disappear" for a week or so, know that I'm working on the game. Thank you all so much for your support so far. This is only possible because of your help. God bless you.
