This month I tried to explore the power of "covering something to make it more evident". In a way, its my most extreme month to date, since I took the risk of blurring the main character, letting the plants be the focus. yet, notice how the eyes still look for that which you want or are interested in! Pretty fun experiment.

The thing that seems to make these pictures work, even with the blurred character, is the composition. COMPOSITION!!! that thing that refers to how the things are laid out within the frame. Its a pretty important concept, yet its very forgotten, and I've noticed few furry artists get into it at all. Composition is so strong, that it can sustain the image even if its elements are not complete or in "focus" ! It is a huge subject, so I'd suggest that anyone interested gets into it asap :P

Another nice concept with these pics was the line . I've been insisting with that lately. Lines make up the drawing (usually) And they are one of the most sincere ways visual artists have to communicate our thoughts. Its like a signature. I'm always praising the lines of other artists, specially if they let them be and learn to play with them! -- thats why I avoid at all the new tech iPad and other software has that "cleans" and smooths the strokes....

Anyways, next month I'm aiming to make some color experiments! So back to solid shapes and such!
