RIP Kitty (? - 2024)

When I got kicked out of the apartment and began the Homelessness Arc, the big highlight was Kitty. Small, black, fuzzy, old as the very hills, total attention hog. Felt good to have a companion. It's been closing on a year since then, which is odd to think, but she's been a really big part of my life, and keeping me sane, ever since.
Last Saturday she stopped eating. I made sure she had fresh food, offered her treats, did everything I could think to do, but she wasn't interested. What was once an extremely affectionate cat no longer wanted any physical contact at all, preferring to curl up in a corner so she could peacefully waste away. It became clear as the days very quickly ticked by that this was her time, and there wasn't anything I could do to stop it. She became weak and confused, rapidly losing weight, barely drinking water. It didn't take long.
This evening I came back from buying groceries and found her dead. I've been... waiting for this... for the past couple days, knowing it could be any minute, and this was it. I've been doing quite a lot of crying. The body's safe, in a box outside, and I'll deal with it tomorrow morning.
There may be a slight delay in upcoming projects while I deal with this. I want to be working but I just... fuck, man. I'll get back to it really soon.
Just wanted to put this up so everyone knows how much she meant to me, so she doesn't just... disappear.
