the people that ask "should i finish this track" are trying to create demand. if you release any sort of product without any demand then the product will not sell, sometimes even if its very good. but there is a lot of good music being released nowadays, so to generate more demand you have to better than those people, which is a very hard thing to prove. if you want to talk about this more feel free to join the discord! im always there :)

i touch a little on this in my latest video, but i feel like 1) ableton is made for mac, and since i own a macbook navigating the daw with my track pad is just much easier than moving around in FL studio 2) ableton skips unnecessary steps. i dont need to route my tracks to a mixer, because a track and mixer track are one and the same thing 3) the interface is more streamlined; i can make folders in folders in folders and easily copy paste things around when those folders are collapsed. also the command + i and the command shift delete key make it very easy to change arrangement orders from a birds eye perspective 4) in ableton you can copy any track by using command + D, in FL studio making a duplicate of a sound is much more complicated 5) in ableton i can drag in tracks and groups from other project files, including their midi, automation clips and placement in the arrangement. in FL that is simply not possible.

My struggle is to come with a lot of ideas (ok im trying to do remixes and finding a track to remix is pretty hard cause i try to make a impact in my country Romania, so im doing dnb remixes on romanian songs cause here the electronic music is not that big but..), I see a lot of producers coming every month on social media and posting "what song should i finish" and they preview 6 projects, and I'm here like releasing a track per month. Its a workflow problem, its like you said, a paralysis cause we have to many tools on our hands ? (sorry for the long comment)

how is your daw of choice impacts your way of working? Do you often compare FL vs Ableton?
