My thoughts on building a career in a "niche" genre

Yesterday I was feeling a bit sentimental and recorded this video where I basically talked about what it's like trying to build a career doing something very unknown, and in an online era.
Essentially, I just rambled on for 20 minutes about what I felt like were the important aspects of this sort of work. Excuse me if the video comes off as a bit random, or if it feels like patting myself on the back or even me being arrogant - again, I just sort of talked about what I wanted to.
Some of you are aspiring guitarists and musicians yourselves, and to others I hope it can show a bit of what makes things possible in the current climate. I was debating posting this video, but I decided that this is what Patreon is good for.
