Added 2022-07-01 12:39:09 +0000 UTCFirst of all - you folks rule. Not two months ago, my channel sat at 14 subscribers (most of whom were friends or family). I dropped that Chrono Cross video, where over the course of 3-ish weeks it had collected 34 views. I wasn't dispirited, I know how fickle YouTube can be - but then the algorithm Gods kissed the video, and its lead to a really positive trajectory for my channel. I know at least a couple of you were very early commenters, giving me helpful advice & telling me to keep going. For that, and the ongoing support from everyone else, I'm humbled & grateful.
Now I just want to lay out a bit of a groundwork/plan so everybody knows where I'm at. Over the next day or so I'll group together some artwork/visual gags (do you call them memes? I feel like that's hackneyed at this point lol) in the form of "goody bags" & drop them here.
I'll have to be a little strategic about my streams at present. As you could guess, working on the videos is my priority so that's where most of my time is going. My living situation is a bit awkward for streaming, so I'll likely give a heads up on Twitter when I plan on going live @ twitter.com/majuular , and of course from here on out I'll be recording the streams to drop for all tiers here. I'm brand new to OBS, so expect shenanigans until I figure it out.
Pertaining to the Q&A participation reward, I figured I'll probably wait until we have a few more people in this community before engaging with that - that way we have something more substantial. In the meantime, if you have a particular question or comment, don't be shy about shooting me a message either here, Twitter, Insta, etc.
Finally, in regards to 'Majuularcade'. I find myself interested in talking about some games that are less substantive/story heavy, so rather than trying to wring a 40+ minute review out of 'em, this will just be a way to break up the long-form content (for your sake as well as mine). Variety is the spice of life & all that. I already have a handful of ideas, so after the next few videos I might put it to poll to see which direction to head.
Just wanted to drop a line, stay communicative & let everyone know how thankful I am. Any questions, comments or ideas, don't be shy. I can't see from here, but I'm pretty sure Patreon lets you comment on these posts by default? In terms of how big the community is... well, we may not have quantity on our side just yet, but in quality you guys are GOD TIER.

I hadn't considered the timing for the Q&A videos, but I think you have a point there. My thought was to keep the formatting kind of loose until there's a few more people who can contribute. But I think you're right on the money, as long as there's only a few people actively on the Patreon, it's probably best kept to a smaller video posted here. In any case, when I plan to do a video that like I'll most assuredly let people know in advance so questions can be submitted. I think the 'live' angle is more entertaining when there's a mess of people who can goof off in the chat.

Really excited to see your Symphonia video, my "clairvoyant" abilities are telling it'll be great! :P In regards to questions I do have one. With QA streams, do you plan to try & schedule some of them to be a few days after a video release? It could be a good idea to garner pointed discussion. You could also perhaps throw up a patreon post asking for questions right after release so you can prepare some answers or get questions from some of us who might not be able to make a stream. Perhaps QAs for videos could be its own small response patreon video thing if you think it might be too small a discussion. That was more of a nebulous web of suggestions than a question but hopefully it's constructive somehow. I probably have more but I'll leave it at that for now. Also just wanted to say your cat is damn cute!
