Somatic Idiom
Added 2022-06-03 17:58:32 +0000 UTCAnother shot from SI. This set is to represent this new thing I’ve put myself into. It’s very revealing, not just my body but putting yourself out there onto the internet for anyone to see, possibly forever in a vulnerable way, to be critiqued. And it was all my doing. This is supposed to represent that.
My body is the focus of the shot. My clothes representing another element of what I do here, cluttered in chaos as I don’t know what I’m doing (my fitness and fashion), possibly making a mess of everything, in my room by myself with just my reflection. In the spot where 90 of my content has been shot. I don’t know how to feel about what I’ve done this far on the internet exploiting myself, like I said it’s so new to me and these shots represent the chaos and careful planning. The strange duality.
More from SI soon and I plan to do another shoot for part 2 of somatic idiom and my Polaroid Series.

I understand your concerns - re putting yourself out there and how people might view you but this is really their business and doesn't have to be yours. so long as YOU are clear why you are doing this - thats all that matters. And if you you see it (and yourself) as art then thats what it is! Beautiful art!
