Hot,104°/40°,dry,rocky & mostly arid days,being forced,by my Father to complete,splitting of logs,he and I had gathered the prior fall. I had to split and stack,not being allowed to rest except for lunch noon-12:30; until the amount equaled a Cord of wood. My ancestry is pale Irish,with freckled skin & Bright Orange hair. Id have blisters on my shoulder & a back,that after 3 summers,looked like I was part Mediterranean. Any wonder the boys in the locker room gazed at this 15 year old boy,hairy as a grown man with a reddish,tan back and pale hairy legs and chest. Is your back painful at all? Lotion up or you’ll pay when you’re older.
