VVM - do you think it might be possible to have the large zip file split into smaller segments? Large google drive downloads will fail at about 480Mb or so, and don't allow a restart from the dropped point.... :/ (I wish I could tell you why - they read as a network failure.)

For these specific ones, it'll probably happen one last time, for mounted and more armored! Tbh the current women guards release isn't performing at all...So we'll see when we do that, I don' t think doing it too soon is a good idea for us!

We definitely need a lot more of those awesome city guards. :-)

Yeah there will be props and scatters too!! The folder will just get updated, you can keep the link aside and download at the end if you prefer! I will also send the pack via MyMiniFactory at the end of the month if you use that!

Very excited for the advent calendar! super super cool! Hope maybe to see some small scatter terrain there too, that would be wicked. Just have a question. Do we need to download each day or can we just download it all on the 24th? Our group is breaking between now and new years so no need to rush and print right now (that and my printer is down :( )

We posted about that last month! I find them extremely boring to do, and I think I covered most of the basic theme. Overall reaction was , fuck bases, it's better if focus can be put on props or characters! I'll do them again if I feel like the theme is calling for it, but forcing myself to do bases was really getting stressfull and not motivating!

Question about the February files. The folders have models with bases and no bases, but none of them are pre-supported. Should there have been supported version of the models too. This is mostly about the figures?

Just so it's clear: I've been noticing that you've been sharing via MMF as well, and they appear to be the same files. At this point do I even need to worry about retrieving via Google Drive, and doing so before the end of the month?

I have found that opening google drive links inside of incognito window solved my zipping and downloading issues.

The links aren't going away, so if you save the you should be fine, but still we never know, could have an issue with my account or the need to swap or something.. But if something should happen (almost no chances honestly), just dropping me a message and you'll get it back. I might do gumroad or MMF releases in the near futures, but will still use GD!

Will we be shared on the Google Drive link forever? If so, that saves me some HDD space :)

Agreed, Google Drive and Sync are complete trash for this type of application. Even when it works, both are poor and cumbersome services.

This is driving me slightly crazy! Last month sync wasn't working for lot of people, so back to drive, and this..I think with drive you can go around that by testing with another browser. No system are fail proof I fear, and they can all be an issue with someone.

I can not get Drive to download anything. Trying to get any portion of the Starter Pack to download. Creates Zip and then shuts it. SOOO frustrated. I am not going to download 100+ individual files. This needs to addressed.

No for the moment we release as the month goes. But you'll get mail notification so you can't really forget anything! And IF it were to happen you can drop us a message and we'll get you the link!

How does this work, do you make them a month in advance and publish all at once? Or do I need to go in and remember at the end of the month to download the Drive folder to make sure I don't miss some?

No! They are available on our Gumroad for that! Otherwise there would be no reasons for anyone to stay :D

Drive appears to have some odd issues if you try to download the full thing. End up with zip files that are missing entire folders and/or files within folders. No issues doing it piece by piece, but found I had missing files abound while trying to do a full download.

If you highlight the folder you can right click / download them.

is there an easier way to download these files or do you seriously have to go each one individually

Sync was giving me a hard time, so I just kept retrying. After the third attempt it almost instantly let me download it. Not sure if my experience is typical. Hope that helps somebody.

I seem to encounter the same problems with Sync as I do with Drive. They work, but it takes a fair bit of hair pulling and gnashing of teeth. It seems like technology is just squirrely and weird and there is no perfect option.

Yeah I'm in the same boat as some of the others. I got the welcome pack and June pack through the google drive link easy enough but the July pack through sync is just stuck on "calculating size." I'm hoping to get it to work before the month is up but would you be able to put it into google drive for next month? Sorry to ask, I know it's a pain switching back and forth.

At that point I don't know what to do honestly :/ Some have issues with Google, some with Sync..Try with another browser, or maybe Sync is acting up right now..Maybe I'll see to upload everything on Google drive when all the month is done, to be sure it works for everyone.

Hmm, one of my other Patreon’s has just left Sync and moved to DriveThruRPG due to the problems they were having with Sync. The other advantage is it means that all your files are available in the future rather than just the month at a time.

Gah, you switched to Sync. I have been having trouble with Sync.com all evening. None of my Patreons that use it are working; I try to zip the files, they won't zip, and they never download. I left one running for at least 15-20 minutes, and no change.

If it is just me then stay with what you like. But here is my non rant version comparing the 2 side by side. With SYNC, #1- click the link, #2-copy and paste provided PW, #3-Click "download all" it autozips, #4-click download now and done. The file name indicated what i downloaded _ _ _ _ June 2020 Welcome Package etc etc. NOW WITH GOOGLE dont even get me started on google drive. The faster way is that #1-I Click your link,#2-Highlight files and right click and select download, #3-Zipping takes linger through google imo, #4-a message pops up saying "leave site" (which i didnt see with multiple windows open) once you click leave site it checks the file as zipped green. #5-Downloads file, shows a white unconfirmed file with a LONG, very undescriptive name such as drive-download-20200622T020301Z-001.zip vs most others like 00 - Titans of Adventure.zip. Then after a minute it turns yellow and you can extract. What i am saying is that this is my 6th patreon file download this week(yes im hooked...moving on) and all the others were intuitive, seamless and problem free. This one required a bit of...patience and "work" and was not eazy breezy. If there is something i am missing like, sync costs you money and google drive doesn't then hey i understand. If i am the only one with issues then maybe i am just an idiot and need to do more research. Its just my feedback on MY experience.

Sorry for that! Usually when this happen people try with another browser, or reboot, and it work! I'll defintely have to search for another way of storage, as it seems some people have issues with it!

i DO NOT like the google drive process. I had ZERO issues getting my files from other creators from sync. I am not even sure i have the files from google. zipping keeps failing and i cant specify where they are going..even though i seem to have 63gb in my google drive it wont let me put them on my pc 3d printing drive. will not be continuing patreon if it keeps being this much effort to get the files.

Hmm that's weird :o If you CTRL+clic everything and click download, it will create a .rar for you directly!

Hi - For the last three months, I've had to download each file separately, close the window, then re-open it rather than downloading one, then moving to the next and downloading it, etc.. Is there any way you could zip the files into a single download, or offer them as a single .zip file (or for that matter a .tar.gz or whatever compression method you like?)

Yes please, my request is in line with others--make a folder with the model, complete + pieces (if there is multipart), and a render image like the one in each post. Bonus to give a numbering scheme (each release has a finite, increasing number). Then we can download as a zip. This is really frustrating in its current form. Once a month releases are also totally fine rather than update after update to download. This is all in line with most other patreons. Thank you!!
