Ah I undetstand. Didnt realize you were even losing Patreons! I've joined since the Desert one. So maybe that pulls peoples attention.. How about a Jungle/Aztec/Dinosaur theme then? Like Chult as a setting. Perhaps that will bring people in? Or perhaps have each month focus on a specific race?

As I said somewhere else, they will still be Vae Victis models :D We don't plan on stopping doing unique characters! Let's just test where it goes! Unfortunately if we listen only to the community that wants very niche stuff, we might ends up losing everyone but them, and as a company it's not ideal... We're not planning to do 1 bandit with only reposes on the side, they would be still all unique.

Unfortunately we're losing some since a few months and it's not going up, so we can't just keep doing what we do until we ran out, we have to find ways and test. These options were there since early 2020 and were outvoted by everything else. And it's still us doing the models, so townsfolk will not be generic, in the end they will include all of what we said, as I'm sure this theme can win a few times in a year. We'll still focus on unique characters, I have no worries about the fact that the theme will be nice even if it sounds ''classic''. Niche is fun and all, but if we just continue losing patrons, at some point we'll have to stop, and that's not the best solution for everyone I suppose.

Didn't you say you would keep the previous options for a while? You exchanged 'About Fishing', 'Food Market' & 'Farmer's Life' for a more generic 'Townsfolk'. Reading through the comments, I think that's a pity to stop with what sets you apart from the other Patreons. I understand it's annoying to keep at this 600 Patreon mark for so long, but sometimes it just takes time to get traction. Keep doing what sets you apart from the rest (which is necessary in such a competitive area) and I'm sure you will gain the traction you need.

I get that, and I hope vote will alternate so we can do both niche and more maintstream stuff! Niche as the word implies...will stay small. We really need more people to grow, we're stuck around that 600 mark since months, it's very frustrating. We need people to share, and I think more broad themes can help a bit appeal to the masse.

Thanks for the explanation, without a doubt I know that the chosen option will be great, I love your style and that is why I want so much to see Western fantasy made by you, not only because I like the subject. It is sad that you are having a bump, sorry, these are hard times, I hope your situation improves soon with the clients. It's frustrating to see my favorite option lose every month, but I understand your reasoning. I will be patient and continue to give my support to your work. Would love to see more kid villagers! Kids playing with hoops or jumping rope. This is the same reason why I keep hoping one day you'll get to do the orphanage. I get that this is a niche, but at this point I prefer partreons that do niche themes... Goblins, bandits.. unfortunately I already have lots of those from other creators so don't need any more.

For Villagers: please do others than humans. Female Dwarf for example or Half Orc or Dragonborn or Gnome or Tiefling :) Just no humans, there are A LOT of human Villager miniatures <3

I hear you man! We added more ''normal'' theme to try to appeal to a larger audience if possible. We're stuck at 600 or so Patrons and we can't seem to move above that bump. Western will be great, but it's very niche I fear!!! I hope it'll win at some point though! But do not worry, they'll be Vae Victis bandits, or townsfolt :P I'm sure we can do very cool stuff even with basic themes! We really need people to share our stuff around so we can evolve more!

Not sure about monsters :D I won't say anything, as I would do them (Jonathan), and horses, dog etc were my 1st animals, so I still need to get my hands on them enough to be comfortable and be sure they're good!

Bandits can be found anywhere, and really almost any figure can be used as a bandit ... I don't understand why it is the most popular option. Followed by villagers, which although it is somewhat more difficult to see than bandits, there are also many easy to find designs. In my opinion, grace is in things that are more difficult to see or more original. I will continue voting for Western fantasy, I really hope that one day I will be chosen. A couple of months ago we almost got it. : (

happy that some of the themes have been condensed as list was getting large and love the idea of Encounters (does this mean monster are coming??) and seeing what other themes and maybe rediscover some old themes with the new mechanics implemented

Extremely excited about the new direction of some of these themes. I think it will be really exciting to see some focused encounter building. And don't think we didn't notice there are some MONSTERS ON HERE! We did everyone: We broke them!
