The Minis are so awesome good.

I love the modular sets, It really expands the possibilities, especially if you can combine parts from different sets. There are some good things about preassembled though. One of them being scaling to small sizes such as 10 or 15mm. I sometimes use meshmixer or 3d builder to assemble the figures before printing them.

Eric Jackson

Now to actually print and paint some of it... :) Also, may I ask when the files will be sent through MMF? Will the Advent files be part of it as well? I'm asking as Google Drive never works for me, want to download all, takes ages to zip, then downloads one folder out of six, gets interrupted three times for no reason, click on "Save as" when the prompt comes up and nothing happens, etc. Thanks :)

Thanks a lot for the kind words!! Indeed, that was some time ago haha!! Glad to have you here again!

I remember backing your first month on Patreon - you've come a long way for sure. For now I'm mostly backing as the wizard girl looks like a girl I know, and will print and paint it for her, but those bandits look very very nice too.

These are incredibly useful - I would love to see a continuation going forward. For the game I run for young adults, these are perfect - I have been using the modular plastics from Frostgrave, and these expand those options. Well done! *EDIT* I prefer the modular options - but having the pre-designed miniatures makes it a whole lot easier for people that want things simple.

You're the best.

Chris Wade

Haha yes! I started by model kit, and then wargaming minis, so to me it just goes with the hobby, but apparently it's not the same for everyone, and that's valid of course! That's why I tested this system this month :D seems to be appreciated so I'll do again if applicable!

Oh yeah, I get people who complain that the figures don't come preattached to the bases on everything I sell! And for me, trying to paint a figure that's already on the base is ridiculous. Lol

Chris Wade

Ohhh that make senses! I personally, coming from wargaming, don't understand the hate against modular hahaha, but I can understand that people coming from wizkids models can be a bit perplexed by parts!

And it's really helpful for merchants. I don't have time to glue weapons in place prior to shipping them out to people, and inevitably customers complain about getting in modular pieces because they think it broke in shipping (I get at least 5 complaints about that per month). Typically, if something is offered modular I just ignore it and don't list it in my shop at all. I hate for my customers to miss out on things like the crab men you designed, but nobody reads descriptions to know it's modular, and ultimately it's not worth the hassle. I know you may not be able to do this every time but just know, I'm super grateful for every one that you do.

Chris Wade

Thank you, glad you like it :D That was the plan indeed! More options the better, would be a shame to put aside people who really don't like modular!

OMG Thank you thank you thank you for adding prebuilt mercenaries as well. I always have to go in and add the hands/weapons to the figures and resupport them to make my own non-modular stl files, and it's always such a pain. This is amazing! Best of both worlds, modular for the people who like modular, presupported for the people like me who hate modular. You guys rock!

Chris Wade

Also I love the non-base set Spiritualist wizards from The Maze of Malcor. The official art was fantastic (already made into a mini though) and I would love to see other takes on them one day. They can also double as necromancers and invokers, potentially.

Geburah

That's...interesting, to say the least? I haven't copied anything, I just stayed in the same realm equipement ,gears etc. Low fantasy will look like low fantasy..I obviously took inspiration in the theme and what they did, but I haven't done any 1/1 copy. (Though I agree, I did a couple of arms that look the same, but it's an accident haha)

Looks like it got removed/moderated, with no feedback to me. We'll see if I hear back. There were some people that felt that your minis (the modular mob) were too close in design to the Frostgrave plastics (in the sense of physically looking alike) and there were some concerns expressed about that. Might want to be aware of that moving on.

Geburah

I love these Modular Mercenaries, you folks rock!

Scavvon

Great release this month, really characterful heroes (wizard with the book and wand is my favorite, tho the floating hair is super well done as well), awesome modular mercs with many applications, and really solid ruins as well. Thanks, and looking forward to next month all the more!

Boss Salvage

Lot of good ideas, noted :D

Ohh awesome!! Thank you!!

sigilist gets my vote

Paul

Would love to see what other wizard types you choose for the next release! I used to love the AD&D2nd anatomist necromancer kit and love that type as necromancer (the Butcher Witch was quite a treat). But there are some underrepresented wizard types, like male witch (warlock) or sigilist. Female illusionist might be an interesting one too... or a female Enchanter.

Geburah

Hyped this release up on the Frostgrave group. Hope you get some traffic!
