April release question : Two more NPCs instead of heroes?

NPCs would be excellent - especially non-humans! There's loads of human villager models out there, but very few decent elf, dwarf, halfling and gnome villagers!

The best results come when the artist is having the best time, so I support whatever is most interesting to her. I don’t have a whole lot of use for miniatures that aren’t going to see a place in combat encounters, but I sometimes print them anyway if I particularly like them.

How about the two of you in miniature form, as craftspersons at work. Honestly what ever you find up with I’m sure will be great as usual

And now I have to make my next ranger a shepherdess with a shepherd's crook (quarterstaff) and sling (option to turn into a staff-sling). And a dog.

I like the first comment too - inspiration is the most important. And maybe you can do both: a middle-aged mum and dad heading off to save their kids kidnapped by fairies (with farm implements and improvised armour), or an amnesic farmhand (who said Rune Factory?) and a brave shepherdess off to find her sheep, by hook or by crook.

NPCs are good, but I concur with whatever inspires her most! Even if it's a heroic character acting like an NPC or an NPC doing something silly and fun.

The NPCs and villagers are always the best part! Everywhere online you can buy STLs of hero miniatures, but NPCs much less so. As a gamemaster, it is always good to have a large cast of NPCs for the players to interact with.

Without looking at previous release, the modular set for April being only guards, it's for sure lacking a bit of villagers for the name of the theme haha!! Let's see how it goes! Maybe we can find a way to have them working for both!

I feel like we get A LOT of npc with the modular packs, would love a bit more character as those tend to have better details and interest, even if it is NPC maybe treat it like they could be heroes. Or miniatures that could go either way.
