On a day-to-day basis, Oliver Card is The Raceβs Creative Lead, working on everything from graphics and branding to podcast artwork, merchandise and more. Heβs also a massive MotoGP fan, and a rider himself, but prior to this year heβd only attended one race as a fan.
Given he works in motorsport, we thought it was high time he got to experience life behind the fence. We got Ollie accredited and sent him to Silverstone for MotoGPβs British Grand Prix where he documented his experiences as an audio diary!
Listen in as Ollie rides up to Silverstone on his BMW F800GT to join the Two Wheels For Life Ride-In, which sees him joining 200 other bikers for two laps of the hallowed track at Silverstone.
Weβll also hear from Ollie as he experiences the MotoGP paddock for the first time, joins The Raceβs Simon Patterson for rider briefings in the media centre, explores the fan zone, and even as he makes an appearance on the main stage to host a Q&A with Simon on Sunday morning ahead of the race.
Along the way there are interviews with Two Wheels For Life founders Andrea Coleman and Randy Mamola, plus the thoughts of like-minded MotoGP fans, for whom the Silverstone weekend is always something special.
