I have finished this now and yet again it turned out more detailed than I initially wanted lol But I feel like I am getting Art like this a little quicker done >//< The brown jacket Aurora wears is btw actually Arlo's from an alternate outfit he has x//D I kinda find it cute when she is wearing stuff from him lol x///DD
I am very happy with the result! And if you want to know my background thoughts on this:
With Arlo being the leader of the Portia Civil Corps, I imagine him having to check on the new settlement, Evershine, if everything is going well or to make some connections/ offer help from Portia and so on.
With Evershine being set three years after Sandrock and Portia (as both games share some events and play during the same timeline), it lines up to my headcanon of Aurora being pregnant with their first child, Alex.
So, for this art I imagined Arlo being worried to let Aurora alone for his mission to Evershine (as he is very protective in the game too when she was pregnant x///D). Even though Aurora tells him she would be alright during the short time of him not being there, they end up with Aurora joining him to the new settlement, so Arlo can make sure she is alright.
Which finally leads me to the art: I thought of them joining a meeting with other important people from other locations in Evershine, in a building which could be the town hall later, but has been used as storage or shed temporary at first as I imagine not many buildings being done or used for their actual purpose at this point x//D
I really like how Arlo is leaning towards Aurora as he listens to the conversation, as if he's trying to shield her with his body x///D While Aurora is just listening, and it seems that evershine struggles here and there.
