The petrified husk of a dead god floats adrift in the silvery strata of the astral sea. Though forgotten in name and deed, some ancient power still dwells within.

I used this map towards the end of a years long campaign. Our heroes tracked their nemesis through a certain city of doors and into one of its many hidden portals. They emerged from the mouth of a forgotten deity and confronted the lich Alodian on the astral plane. As they passed through the light, PCs either healed or were dealt radiant damage depending upon their alignment in relation to that of the dead god (chosen at random). All other areas of radiance emanating from the being behaved in the same manner. This became an environmental hazard for some and a source of free healing for others, and clever players caught on and used it to their advantage. It made for a very memorable and climactic battle.
