Upgraded Hardware!
Added 2020-12-08 09:14:25 +0000 UTCHey folks,
I just wanted to drop a quick update. I have made a pretty sizeable investment in a professional quality Wacom tablet and am trying out some new software. Up until this point I have made all my maps on Procreate for iPad. Procreate is a great program, and the iPad is super intuitive, but I have encountered some real challenges when trying to make larger maps since there are pretty restrictive layer caps relative to image size. After spending the day acquainting myself with my new toys, I am kind of amazed that I made it this far with the tools I've had.
With the new tablet and new program (Clip Studio Paint) I hope to streamline my process and make higher quality maps at a faster pace. I have no doubt that this investment will pay off dramatically and save me a lot of headache down the road. In the meanwhile, please bear with me for the next week or two. The releases might come in a little slower than the weekly pace I've tried to maintain for the last couple months while I learn to use my new tools and adjust my process to compensate for them. Once I break through the learning barrier I am confident I'll be better equipped to provide you all with consistent content.
As a reminder, patrons are charged on a per creation model, so if I fall behind my release schedule, you will only charged for the maps I manage to put out. And should I find myself in a position in the future where I am ahead of schedule, rest assured that I will never release more than 4 payed posts per month.
In an unrelated update, I am also receiving some tutelage from an established creator so I can get some map packs with dynamic lighting already configured up on the Roll20 Marketplace. If that interests you, keep an eye out for them this weekend. I am hoping to have at least one pack ready by then.
Thanks again for following me on this journey. This week I will still be releasing the Treant's Glade, a boss monster map with a matching top-down token. I started this map on the iPad but will be finishing it in Clip Studio Paint on my desktop. I can't wait to share the results with you!
