NEW REWARD FOR $20+ Patrons! (& an update about $20 Discord Discussions)

Hey everyone! I hope you all enjoyed our reaction to RWBY Volume 9 Episode 1!

I am thinking of holding the $20 patron discord VC discussion every Friday when I get home from school. For those unaware, I hold a Voice Call discussion with the patrons after every RWBY episode during RWBY season, where we will talk to each other about the episode. This will be likely be around 7:00-9:00 EST. I am hoping that will still be alright for people in other timezones since it’s the night of a weekend - unfortunately since my school schedule SUCKS there’s really no other time to do it. I know this really screws over the European patrons, so I thought of something I think may be interesting!

I am adding a new reward in order to make up for the time zone issue. $20 patrons can now send me a list of things or a singular written out topic they would like to see us discuss in the PUBLIC YOUTUBE Livestream. Ie, for example, “Calxiyn, I have this theory about Alyx, I’d love you to discuss it on stream” (just make sure it’s not over 400-500 words. 500 words or LESS). You can also make a point form list. For example, if I were going to make a list based on the last episode I may put

- Who do you think the Shadow people behind Neo are? I think they’re…

- Do you think we’re ever going to meet Alyx, or is she just going to be seen in flashbacks? I think…

- How do you feel about the scene where Ruby faints? I feel like WBY doesn’t seem concerned enough?

And so on and so forth. You probably get the vibe. Please keep it around only 5-6 points.

Basically, this is like the equivalent of getting a FREE YouTube superchat. We will read out your comment on the livestream like we do for super chats. This means after episode 2 on Saturday, I will make a post on Patreon asking for submissions. You must send this to me after the latest episode releases, but BEFORE our live stream discussion at 2EST. If you miss that window we can always read it during the NEXT week’s discussion, but it’s possible your discussion point may become obsolete (as my theories often become once we get an answer).

Questions:

1. Does this scale to the higher patron tiers?

Potentially. It depends if there’s any interest for that. I also don’t want to be like “$20 patrons can send us 5 points but $50 can send us 7!” - like that’s sorta arbitrary and not fun. Currently there are no $50/$100 patrons, and $50/$100 patrons already have a private chat reward with Hunter & I for us to discuss these types of things. So technically, the $50 patrons can already access us whenever they want to discuss the show, which is a higher equivalent of this new $20 reward.

2. Can I come to the private discussion AND send you a list for the live stream?

Yes. BUT, if I know you showed up to the discussion already and Hunter and I are running out of time, we may not read it on stream. The highest priority messages will be those people who couldn’t make it.
