Sorry guys, I tried to do as much as I could, but it seems like I caught some kind of flu!

This chapter was definitely quite interesting to write, though. So... Who do you think is in the right? 🤔

I think they’re both right, but saying she needs to work harder seems less effective then “you need to learn how to relax and focus on your movements- be more in tune with you body not your mind and get on the offensive”

That was hard to read. He told her 'try harder' boy bye 🤦🏾‍♀️. That's invalidating. No one was kind to him while he was training, but he can still train her better than what he experienced. She can't 'just do' bc she doesn't have intuition yet, which comes from building confidence and self-assuredness. She's arguing emotionally. He's arguing logically (just referencing what he knows). I thought he knows her better by know to know that his approach won't work for her 🤷🏾‍♀️. This is tough. I saw this being a problem feom the beginning, just bc she learns differently and not by rote repetition. 😖She needs a program specific to her! And to feel/see her progress so she can feel encouraged and motivated. Honestly to be a good teacher just takes reflection, and to think abt who you're teaching. I thought he would have considered things more before jumping into it. He's being automatic instead of intentional. She needs someone who supports her in the emotional challenge of it and reminds her of her potential/great qualities, like they did in the beginning conversations. (I'm speaking from Jun's side bc that's what I understand the best.) Last point: when he said 'I never said I was a good teacher' to cover his bases 😑 That way if it goes wrong he never lied. But I don't like that. All he has to do is try - which he is! He shows up for her and puts in time to train her. If you're speaking objectively with no regards to his feelings, then yes he isn't a good teacher - but he will be! Jun keep showing up for yourself & Sekai keep trying.
