S2E18.75: The Raid

Abi's away on business (Dome), so it's up to just Alice and Devon to talk about the 2011 Indonesian action film 'The Raid'. A team of cops descend upon a tower block to kill the crime lord on the top floor. All that stands in their way? A million extremely damp guys who all know the martial art Pencak Silat.

But we can't handle Dudes Rocking of this calibre alone, so we're joined by the wonderful Ben McLeay, host of the podcast Boonta Vista, Co-founder of the Two Bit Movie Club, and inventor of BORLFF!

Love the Raid series. The sequel has some of my favorite mini bosses with hammer girl, and baseball boy, plus the prison mud fight is breathtaking. Plus the car chase scene were they took ou the passenger seats and had the cameramen dress in seat camo tickles me

Bilbro T. Baggins

the first time i watched this film, i immediately became a huge Mad Dog fan. when it got to the bit where he squares up with Jaka & the camera pulls back to reveal that Joe Taslim is about five inches taller than Yayan Ruhian i think i moaned audibly

Peter Paul Rubens' Muse

I learned about Silat from Tom Clancy's "NetForce" series of future-internet-crime FBI novels.

Andrew Dunn

yo can you get tom and demi back for an insane children’s movie? I crave chaos

Morgan

Sniper guys are real lunch pail kind of goons. Come in, do the job, leave. Great fundamentals
