S3E22: Some Girls Do

FREE PALESTINE

Hey, Devon here. For the past few months I've been talking to a family trapped in Gaza, working to hit their gofundme for passage out of Rafah when the crossing reopens. Their names are Ahmed and Layla, and their 4 kids Jana, Malik, Lana and Amir. While the crossing might be closed, the situation is changing by the day and being able to afford passage out when a crossing reopens is an immense comfort.

Please don't donate money as your sole intersection with palestine organising. You have to do other things now.

My partner and his best friend will just turn to each other and go “leave my house now” when they’re done hanging out. It’s insane.

In what way was forcing all the women to murder each other NOT unprovoked violence?? You dropped the ball on that one fr.

Evie Moon

Genuinely surprised Unprovoked Violence was scored as low as it was given the lobotomized lady murder scene. Drummond didn't need to order those brainwashed women to murder each other. He had the mind control thing. They were no longer a threat. He could've said something like "stand down and follow me" to get them somewhere safe, or "wake up" if we want to be extra optimistic. Within the story that was written there were plenty of other approaches beyond "beat each other to death." I know the scene helped skyrocket the misogyny score, but what can I say I like when number goes up. I think there's also something to say about the way that scene dehumanizes lobotomized people. Mental faculties or not they were still innocent women who deserved to be cared for/reunited with their families, not made to brutalize each other and get incinerated in a hotel explosion. Fucked up movie all around.

Hi, Autistic guy here, was already doing that about the Jericho horn. Pausing the movie and everything
