Saw a great musical called Oliver Cromwell is Really Very Sorry and that ALSO had a Welsh actor play (specifically) Protestant God (among other roles, so I didn't realize the Welsh accent for God was his normal voice, I thought it was a choice lmao). Just funny that it's happened more than once

Enjoyed isn't the right word, but appreciated, this episode. Especially the conversation about her being radicalized and it's not that she's Inherently A Bad Person but someone who's been traumatized and has a reaction to it. Religious mortification and the sanctification of suffering is a topic I'm really interested in - if anyone else is, this blog (https://www.pangyrus.com/place/living-with-pain-the-desert-fathers-and-mothers-the-hindu-festival-of-thaipusam-and-the-new-york-city-marathon/) talks about the topic well, in my opinion. (Eta: unless you, like the three commentors, have strong opinions on the socioeconomic status of Tamil people in Singapore, a subject about which I am completely ignorant). But it's a complex topic!
