March Updates
Added 2023-03-01 07:04:37 +0000 UTCHey there,
First and foremost, I want to thank you all for being here and to welcome the new influx of patrons who have signed up in recent months. I am humbled by your support, and cannot express enough appreciation that you all enable me to do what I'm passionate about full-time.
This last month has been kind of a challenge. I know I've tried to provide 4 posts per month, but I started this month recovering from a skiing injury, which segued into a nasty sinus infection, and after a brief period of feverish work post-recovery, I've managed to finish February sick again. My productivity suffered this month, and I could have really used the two to three extra days we'd have on any other month.
I could have pushed a little harder, cut some corners, and released another 1-2 posts before the next round of payments begin processing today, but I don't want to sacrifice the quality of any of the maps I'm working on, even if it means a big cut to this month's paycheck. Thanks for your understanding.
Currently I'm working on a massive (100x50) 8 level manta ray ship, housing a small town and citadel, in addition to putting the final touches of this month's Megadungeon from the #dungeon23 challenge (level 2). I've also got a collaboration with my friend Dragonshorn Studios which I'll be releasing tomorrow, including a festive circus tent map and an adventure featuring mischievous quasits.

Additionally, I've had my attention somewhat divided. I'm excited to announce that I've started work on my first book- an astral-themed Mork Borg adventure supplement I'm illustrating with an excellent writer and close friend. Below is a work in progress image of a seraphim (please do not distribute). I'll have more updates about this throughout the year as we get closer to our Kickstarter launch.

Finally, I want to solicit some feedback from you all on my Patreon format. I've been doing this for two and a half years now and have had to make a few adjustments. I'm trying to plan out the rest of the year and into 2024, and I want to have an idea of what I should prioritize. I wish Patreon polls had a ranked choice voting option here, but since they don't I'd like you to please select from the following priorities you'd like me to focus on so I can take the results into consideration moving forward:

Hey Michael, I hear you loud and clear. I'll make sure at least a couple releases each month are more versatile. I intend to keep making these ships for a while since I'm really enjoying them and they seem to be popular, but I want to make sure I'm providing a variety for folks as well. I'm not super familiar with Traveller but I might dip my toes in more sci-fi later this year, in addition to the regular fantasy content. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

2023-03-17 01:20:28 +0000 UTCI don't have a use for more ships. Some Traveller usable sci-fi maps sound great, followed by Versatile Sci-fi and Fantasy Content. Sci-fi Traveller character tokens top down sound great too.
