As you make your way to the town center, you pass a series of storefronts and outdoor markets. The rhythmic ringing of hammer striking anvil emanates from within the halls of the local smithy, and the thick smoke rising from its chimneys mingles with that of the inn. The sounds of rowdy jubilation from its ground-level bar are dampened by the hawking of wares up and down the street, and from the variety of animals mucking about in the nearby stables. At the northern end of the mass of buildings, a small tower with a handful of garrisoned soldiers stands as a reminder of law and order.
Hey folks!
I had originally designed these sewers a while back for a side project that never came to fruition, and as they were a little small on their own, I thought it could be fun to stack the makings of a surface-level campaign hub right above them. I can't think of how many times I've had to stitch together various maps just to give my players a sort of home base, and so this map pack aims to tie together a series of small locations the players can use for exploration, roleplay, shopping, resting, and even some adventure. Above the sewer level, there's an inn with food and beds, a smithy, a general store, an apothecary, a store room, an outhouse, an abandoned home (with some large spiderwebs) and a small guard tower. This town center could serve as the self-contained location of a one-shot game, or be a repeated location the party returns to between adventures to rest and shop.
With this release, higher tier patrons have access to environmental variants (rainy and snowy) and of course CR 8 patrons have got a Foundry module with fully-integrated walls, lighting, and animations. I hope you find this map pack to be a versatile tool in your repertoire!
Cheers,
Zach
