Crab Ships

In the interest of form over function, the builders of this craft were insistent that it travel sideways rather than in a forward trajectory. Assailants would be unwise to write off the capabilities of such a ship however, and many have been fool enough to assume the claws to be little more than ornamental fixtures, only to have their ships clamped and promptly boarded.
Unlike the creature that inspired its design, the Horseshoe Crab is unfit for the seas, but it makes an excellent choice for sailing the skies and beyond. By no means a battleship, the Horseshoe Crab is still quite defensible, with significant investment in armoring its exterior hull. It is also quite maneuverable, so much so that a piercing ram is often mounted to the tail protruding from the vessel's stern.
