So... About Liv

Hi there, Vie here. :D
This might come off as a bit of a weird post, but I felt that my skills as a story teller, artist and probably a couple of other things has uh.. failed, to communicate something.

To start with, I draw the webcomic at twice the size. For example this panel:

is actually this big.

That said, the rest of this post will be talking about Episode 35 and the indication of self-harm in it. If that makes you uncomfortable, you can scroll down to the very end of this post as that should summarize what I want to say.

Now does anyone remember this chapter? the one where Liv and Riley are in the car? Episode 27 I believe.

Riley says this:

A couple of panels later we see Liv wiping up the blood, not on her palm,

but on her wrist.

This panel was meant to be different. The blood was meant to be coming from a little higher up than her palm. I didn't want to redraw the panels at the time so I just edited it  instead. I thought maybe someone could pick up on the inconsistency of the tissue being on her wrist and not on her palm.

That series of panels plus Riley saying; "reopening old wounds" was meant to imply that this wasn't the first time that she's done this.

There are a couple of other instances, this one being the earliest one:

You can't quite see it here, as resizing the panels and saving in jpeg format does affect the quality significantly, specially if you're viewing it from a phone screen. But in its original size;

Here are a couple of other instances in the most recent chapters,

Normally I'd just wait and see if maybe someone can pick up on it. But with how I failed in properly showing, indicating and dropping hints about it and how it's a sensitive topic, I uh... didn't want it to come out like it just came from no where. Which might be too late because that's kind of how it seemed in this update.

What I'm trying to say is that they didn't just come out of the blue. They were always there, but I was too afraid of making them too obvious whenever they were visible. I have a lot to learn but that doesn't change the fact that I failed to communicate something important.

That's uh... that's it. Thank you for your time reading this. :) Have a nice day.

Tbh I did see this on the car chapter but never thought about Liv and suicide. Instead, I saw this as a “normal” thing se used to do to try blood magic, something as opening a small puncture on her Viena ??? (maybe too far fetched)

Thank you for taking the time to explain! You do great work. Now we (your fans) know to look closer for details we may be missing. :)

I did miss them in the earlier chapters but caught on when she was in the car. I think it's because partly the phone view shrinks it, and because she seems so put together. I get so focused on the story I tend to miss these small things unless someone points them out. I am looking forward to learning some more about her past. Keep up the great work!
