Iconic imagery
Added 2021-07-06 10:00:46 +0000 UTCToday I became the owner of three Bruce Weber images. They aren't "originals" but they are authorised official prints. For anyone not familiar with Mr Weber, he single handedly defined the iconic look for Abercrombie & Fitch, including their notorious "catalogues" that became collectable.
I have long admired his work and have come to realise that he probably has had some influence in the kind of man I find attractive. His models are absolutely stunning chisel jawed, athletic perfect specimens. They are often, like this Abercrombie video, in rather homoerotic situations and often nude.
When summer comes back to Australia I am planning a shoot that will hopefully capture the male bonding vibe that he was so talented at capturing. At this stage I have four models lined up and am trying to find a suitable fifth. I don't want to copy his work but the mood he portrayed so often is stunning and if I get anywhere near it, I'd call it a success.
