Sharing the knowledge
Added 2022-03-08 08:00:03 +0000 UTCA year ago almost to the day I happened to be at my parents place when a Wollongong photographer dropped off a large framed print of his work that they had purchased. He happily stood around chatting for about half an hour when there was absolutely no obligation to do so.
When I decided I was going to buy myself an underwater setup I reached out to Warren on Instagram and asked if he would mind pointing me in the right direction and with his tips I bought the setup that I now have.
On the weekend just gone I was in Wollongong again and decided to go and have a look at his gallery and chat to him. Once again he happily chatted for half an hour or more and he even said complimentary things about my first attempts at underwater photos. It was really refreshing to have a professional not be protective of his knowledge, but rather share it happily. He gave me all sorts of technical tips and suggestions to help me get the most out of my underwater shots.
I will definitely be keeping an eye on his website to book in for one of his workshops.
