The story behind Troy at the Beach
Added 2022-10-06 07:30:59 +0000 UTCThis is Troy. He has appeared in a few of my downloads including this one "Sand/Stone" and even though this was the second download he appeared in, it was supposed to be the first.
A week before this shoot another model flaked on me about two hours before the shoot so I had to frantically find someone willing to drop everything and get to the studio and drop their clothes. We already had this shoot lined up so Troy stepped up and did the shoot which became "The Ball".
On this day however we got up and headed down to the national park just south of Sydney to a little hidden nude beach down there. This was one of the shoots where I was trying to do photos and video at the same time which is always a challenge. I'd met Troy through instagram and our shared love of being nude in the sun so photographing him on a nude beach made perfect sense. His deep tan and smooth skin looked beautiful against the sandstone rock formations.
The most entertaining part for me was, since we have a really fun banter kind of friendship, knowing how much he hates sand and making him roll in the really course sand made up of broken shells. We actually had to scrub quite hard to get it off him as it stuck like glue. But those shots ended up being some of my favourites of the shoot.
