Ah, Greg...

It seemed like a great goal to have to have photographed someone for the cover of an international magazine and that is one that I vaguely still have. Probably not for DNA though. I have absolutely no problem with them but if I'm going to aim for a cover shot, I think I'll aim for a celebrity shoot on a big name magazine.
Back in the day when I had that dream I did submit once or twice. One of those times was with this shoot of the delightful Greg. A friend let me come and do a shoot in his backyard pool. I organised for the great gang at AussieBum to send us some swimwear and away we went.
Years before I had a conversation with the editor of DNA and he said they need bulge, abs and eye contact. This was backed up by the pdf they send when you ask about shooting for them. Thankfully Greg had all those things on the check list and I still think he looks great. Sadly DNA didn't think he had a strong enough look for them which is totally their prerogative.
We had a great shoot and a bunch of laughs along the way. Even though he didn't need the help, we put a cock ring on Greg to emphasise the bulge requirement. The poor guy had never worn one before and from memory I don't think he liked it.
