The story of Home Alone
Added 2023-03-30 09:18:54 +0000 UTCUnlike the movie series, when I photographed a guy I know, Scott at home, alone, he wasn't rigging booby traps to catch thieves, he was relaxing nude around the apartment.
This shoot was shot long before I started releasing full shoots as downloads. For many years my shoots were just for my own fun and I would share a handful of images from a shoot on my blog and when it came along, Instagram. So when downloads started selling it was fun revisiting this shoot.
Scott was a circus performer on aerial straps and would occasionally teach at the circus school I was going to. I can't remember how we got around to talking about doing a shoot but we did and I'm glad about it.
He had just gone through a breakup when we did the shoot and the apartment was largely empty. We used available light which varied fairly drastically from out on the terrace to draped across the table. These are the hurdles we face as photographers but we made it work
We hadn't really discussed comfort levels around full frontal nudity before the shoot but it soon became clear that he had no qualms at all about being nude and being photographed. Nor should he.
