The story of Shipwrecked
Added 2023-04-06 08:30:00 +0000 UTCBack in 2016 I was starting to push myself out of my comfort zone and really jump at opportunities to work with people, to have the confidence to ask them even if I didn't think they would.
That's when Timothy popped up on my instagram feed in a photo taken by a Brisbane photographer friend. So before I could second guess myself I shot him a message saying if he was ever in Sydney, I'd love to work with him. Amazingly he responded almost straight away saying he was actually doing a road trip through Sydney soon after.
For the first of what ended up being two shoots on that trip, we agreed to an outdoor shoot on a nude beach I've shot at several times. We were going for the vibe of a Shipwrecked, beautiful sailor.
The lighting suited the mood we were going for with some dramatic clouds and Timothy's puppy dog eyes. He is a dancer and you can tell by the way he moves his body that he's in complete control. He always looks amazing. I've gone on to photograph him another three times since this shoot.
