I've already told the story of how I came to work with Timothy when I shared the story of Shipwrecked, our first collaboration. I didn't I didn't release this second shoot Draped for some time after the first one.
We got to the studio at the office I was working at the time with little more than a few fabric options, Tim's dance training and some vague ideas. As you can see in the video above, we experimented with a bunch of different setups and some were definitely more successful than others.
At one point we were throwing the very light fabric into the air and getting Timothy to jump into it but fabric doesn't necessarily fall how you think it will. We pivoted and draped Timothy in the fabric then got him to jump and as soon as we did that I knew we were onto a winner. This section of the shoot resulted in what is possibly my favourite image I've ever taken and one that had a LOT of great feedback. I have the only print of it on my wall at home but it's very similar sister print Ascension is on my store available for purchase.
It was the kind of moment when both the model and myself know something great is going on and we both got very excited. Watch the full video here.
