When people have asked me over the years if I would ever pursue photography as a full time job, the answer has always been no. The idea of doing what I do full time really appeals but I also don't want to lose the passion for it by having to survive on it and it becoming a chore.
The way I do photography now means I can shoot exactly what I like rather than have to sell my soul and photograph weddings or corporate headshots.
When I was in Copenhagen in August and chatting to Mikael, he said that there are hardly any photographers in the region shooting male nudes. We both thought the idea of me setting up in Copenhagen and photographing the beautiful Scandinavian men in the area over a month or two sounded like a great idea. I just can't afford to do that.
Imagine if that was my life. Going and setting up in various regions of the world and shooting all the local talent there for a month before moving on. Heaven.
Sadly photography doesn't make me anywhere near enough money to live off so for now, this will stay a pipe dream. It's a nice dream though.
