Finding a direction...
Added 2024-09-17 09:43:07 +0000 UTCWhile my exhibition "Manyone" last year may have been financially challenging, it was very much a creative endeavour that I enjoyed. I keep finding myself thinking about what direction to go in for the next one. There are no immediate plans for another exhibition but it will happen one day.
My first exhibition I just started shooting with a vibe and came to realise the themes I was exploring after. My second one I was in a different headspace and it was completely different to my first. Then there was a long break of ten years before last year's.
Manyone came about after an experiment with an existing shoot in photoshop during a covid lockdown.
Now I find myself deciding which approach is better. Do I find a theme and let that influence the style and imagery? Do I experiment with a vibe and see what themes emerge? Or do I go with what I did for last year and find a technique and run with that? So many options.
