What do you want to see?
Added 2025-02-03 09:07:27 +0000 UTCIn the 21 years I've been photographing the male figure I have tried a lot of things. Sometimes more successfully than others. There has been clay, powder, fabric, underwater, above water, lots of shoots in nature, a bit of erotic experimentation, and a bunch of things.
I'm not sure how my photography is perceived and what people would say is a "typical' Brenton Parry shoot but I'm curious, what do you want to see?
I am keen to hear from you guys who are amazing supporters of my work, what you want to see? Other than lots more gorgeous nude men obviously. Is there an idea that you have wondered why I haven't tried? A concept or a theme you thought I might do well?
As you know I don't do costumey themes like Halloween or Valentine's or ideas like that but I am very open to hearing your thoughts.

I recognise your images because they are controlled, staged and clean. I would like to see you do something where you do not have as much control, something more spontaneous perhaps, really let your hair down.

2025-02-03 21:11:41 +0000 UTCI think I would recognise your use of light in the set up of the shot, and your use of muscular guys on the beach is familiar. It's all very good. For new concepts I had a couple of ideas. Firstly in the studio or at home using your lighting but doing more bodyscape stuff, highlighting the natural shapes and contours of the body/skin. Not necessarily super close up (especially not of the genitals) but taking shapes and angles as the themes. Secondly, naked people in more urban contexts - abandoned buildings, alleys etc or more bravely in crowded spaces or with time lapse stuff. The model would be super clean, even shiny, but the space around them dirty and messy etc.
