Agreed....but that's painting competitions. People vote for the entry they LIKE the most, which isn't necessarily the 'best' paint job...and what is the 'best' is pretty subjective. I voted for yours, but James was a very close second in my book. They're both amazing (as were all the entries), but I voted for you because I loved your use of colour: The mix of warm and cool tones and the complimentary scheme between the blue and orange that really made it 'pop'.
